The KV Field committee is proposing to build lighted, artificial turf fields at Kennebecasis High School in Quispamsis for the enjoyment of all organized sport in the community. The Proposal includes to fields that can be used for multiple sports such as soccer, field hockey, football, rugby, lawn bowling, ultimate Frisbee, and field lacrosse.
A playground, walking trails, and upgrade to the tennis courts, and additional parking facilities will also be included as part of the overall project. The proposal is aimed at addressing the needs of sports groups at KVHS as well as the greater Saint John community, and promoting wellness activities for the community at all age levels.



Funding

The objective of the KV Fields Project committee is to cost share the estimated $2.9 million dollar cost with three partners. It is anticipated that one third of the cost will come from the Federal government, one third from the Provincial government, and one third will be a combination of Municipal government funding, and fund raising /sponsorships. The Town of Quispamsis has endorsed the project and has committed $135,000.00. The town is also working with members of the committee to approach other levels of government
